Biography
Whether it is negotiating host agreements, appearance releases, distribution licenses, film/tv adaptation deals or advising on fair use/fair dealing and other intellectual property-related questions, Alexia counsels podcast production companies and creators based in the US and across the pond through development, production, launch and distribution. As part of her work at Klaris, Alexia helps her clients develop their IP responsibly and navigate the constantly evolving technologies and emerging distribution models. Passionate about the podcast and audio industry, she is also a regular speaker on legal trends and developments in the media & entertainment industries generally, including appearances at South by Southwest (SXSW), ARinAction, The Podcast Show, PodFest, Podcasting, Seriously, RightsTech Summit and the Velocity of Content (Copyright Clearance Center) and the Binge Factor podcasts. Prior to joining Klaris, Alexia worked as a law clerk at BuzzFeed, where she supported the news team, and at law firms specializing in media law in both London and Paris.
