Biography
Bruce Lazarus joined MAI as its Chief Operating Officer in 1998 and was named the company’s CEO in 2001. Bruce has more than 30 years of financial management and accounting experience in the media industry, including consulting for the accounting and finance departments of Fox News Channel, launching and serving as Director of Finance for the CNBC television network and serving as CFO of Request Television. He had previously served as Corporate Controller for Reiss Media and its Request TV operation and held accounting management posts at NBC Sports and RCA.
Before entering the media industry in 1982, Bruce was a senior analyst with Lever Brothers. He earned an MBA Degree in Corporate Finance from the City University of New York’s Baruch College and a bachelor’s of science degree in resources management from the State University of New York. He is an active member of the Media Financial Management Association and serves on its Cable Committee. Bruce also served as a pioneering member of CAB’s (Cable Advertising Bureau) Electronic Data Initiative (EDI). Bruce was admitted to the Cable Pioneer Class of 2014.
